Dulcinea

Aspen, Colorado

The Dulcinea custom residential project in Aspen, Colorado consists of a 5,500 s.f. full structural renovation of an existing residence, and the expansion of the existing crawl space to a full basement. The primary structure is conventional 2x wall framing with wood framed roofs and floors, structural steel, and concrete basement walls and foundations, with the basement and garage level slabs both slab-on-grade floors.

This project included multiple components and reworks of both the exterior and interior. Outside, our team worked to relocate the garage, reconfigure the roof to include an additional flat roof over the office area and exterior, elevated the deck over the mud room, and designed and coordinated custom staircase and railings. Inside, we modified the upper level bedrooms, bathrooms and exterior decks, the main level entry, laundry areas, and the basement level - including a rec room, storage area, study area, bedroom relocation, and the addition of HVAC.

This project was completed together with Z-Group Architects.
